Heijmans and residential investor Vesteda have signed two agreements for the sale of a total of 144 homes in projects in the Podium project in Amersfoort and the De Kuil project in Rotterdam. These commitments have a combined value of over € 46 million for Heijmans.
Podium project in Amersfoort
Heijmans is developing the Podium project in the Vathorst district of Amersfoort. The first phase of the project involves the construction of an apartment complex with 195 homes and 179 parking spaces. This building consists of two tower blocks with an additional 59 homes and a communal roof garden between the blocks. Vesteda is acquiring one of the two residential tower blocks with 68 homes, including 49 homes in the mid-market rental segment, four regulated rental homes and 15 liberalised sector homes. Vesteda is also acquiring 68 parking spaces. Construction on the complex is scheduled to start in Q3 2022, with delivery expected in 2024. Podium is located in the Vathorst district, the newest district of Amersfoort. The complex is close to arterial roads and the countryside around Amersfoort is also within easy reach.
De Kuil project in Rotterdam
In the Parkstad area development in Rotterdam, Heijmans is developing the De Kuil project, with a total of 232 homes with a wide range of apartments and around 550 m² of commercial space. Vesteda is purchasing 76 rental apartments from Heijmans, with 70 of these in the mid-market rental segment, divided across two blocks. These are in line the city of Rotterdam’s mid-market rental action plan, with rules related to the allocation of the homes and maximum rent levels. Vesteda is also acquiring 550 m² of commercial space in the plinth, plus the attached bicycle and car-parking spaces. Construction on the first phase in Rotterdam (located between Brede Hillendijk / Paul Krugerstraat / Jacominastraat) is scheduled to start in May 2022.
