Heijmans has signed an agreement with the Woonkracht10 housing corporation to build 137 new-build houses and apartments in the Kraaihoek district in the centre of Papendrecht. This project will contribute to the goal of creating a caring neighbourhood.The contract value of this assignment is more than € 26 million.
The first phase of the realisation of this new-build project will involve the demolition of 99 outdated homes. The new homes to be built include 78 houses with ground-level access and 59 apartments. The ground-level homes will be social rental homes, divided over eight building blocks, 10 of which will be for first-time renters. The 59 apartments will be for senior citizens, divided over two building blocks of 35 and 24 apartments.
Demolition work is scheduled to start in the third quarter of 2023. Heijmans will apply for an environmental permit for the new-build project in the fourth quarter of 2023.
