The Rosmalen-based construction company will therefore be changing its official company name to ‘Koninklijke Heijmans’ (Royal Heijmans). The company has also started the process for the use of this name for its listing on the Euronext stock exchange in Amsterdam. The Heijmans logo will remain unchanged.

Only organisations that occupy a very important place in their field and are of national significance are eligible for this honorary title. It symbolises the King’s respect and appreciation for and trust in the recipient.

The award was received with exuberant cheers from the 7,500 employees and their partners present at the anniversary celebration in the Brabanthallen event location in Den Bosch. According to Ton Hillen, this cheering shows the pride and commitment of Heijmans' employees.
